Weight Loss is TOUGH!

0

Guess what everyone…it is true! Weight Loss is tough, demanding, and sometimes downright annoying.

Some days are good, some months are bad. Sometimes you can’t seem to drop an ounce no matter how hard you exercise. Sometimes you gain a damn pound when you think you are doing everything right! DAMN!

Guess what…it is the same for 95% of the American Population. It is probably true for you, and it is even true for me. Yea, I am human too. Those other 5% have genetics built in for being lean, and that just is. So forget them and focus on us.

Here is the problem: Often when we feel that we have worked hard, done everything right, suffered tremendously…we still don’t get the results….WE BLOW IT! Everyone has done it! Guess what…Blowing it won’t get you the results if it is done arbitrarily! That mentality will keep your progress down for eternity.

Does that mean that we have to stay on diet every day and exercise every day? NO! That will not get you there either. Confused? Ha;-)

We want to stick to a 90% principle. Stick to everything 90% of the time, and enjoy life. That 10% of the time includes days off of training and muffing the diet. Human beings need reward. You trained hard for a week and everything from your toe nails to your hair follicles hurts, so take the day off and rest. That is actually good for you!

You watched your diet, calories, processed foods, carbohydrates, and fat all week…your significant other wants to take you out to the nice FOO FOO restaurant on Saturday night…GO! Have a good time and take the evening off. You do not have to eat the whole friggin menu, but enjoy the time, food, and environment! You earned it, right? Then get back to program the next day, workout, and feel good (except for the probable hangover;-)

Our weight loss WILL STALL. Our physical fitness WILL PLATEAU. Welcome to the human body. What you do to maintain your happiness counts, but what counts even more is having the dedication to continue after you take a day off. If you want to beat yourself up after an off day, make sure it is in your overall game plan…not as punishment for your treat. Your persistence will pay off over time!

Remember, we do not do all this stuff just for the quick fix and temporary gratitude of results. We exercise and watch the diet so that we can not only look good, but feel good! Overall health is what we achieve from our personal training and fitness work, our boot camp effort, our weight loss program, our muscle soreness, our WHATEVER! Health, vitality, tone stomach, defined muscles, increased stamina and endurance…this is what our fitness and diet/weight loss programs are truly about.

Enjoy your fitness program AND your diet…you will achieve results, even if you cannot visibly see them this week;-) Trust me, the results ARE inside of you, and they are exceptional.

Have a great day, and…

GO WORKOUT!
